In an article in the Las Vegas Review Journal, the state of Nevada ranked No. 3 in the U.S. for the number of jobs created within the private sector. Nevada follows Utah and Florida.
Bill Anderson, Chief Economist for Nevada's Department for Employment, Training and Rehabilitation says "We're seeing contributions from our historical drivers - that being construction, leisure and hospitality - and in fact, construction is arguably the fastest-growing industry in the state right now".
The growth in private sector employment through 2015 is Utah - 4.3%, Florida 4.1% and Nevada 3.8%.
