Las Vegas Valley Will Continue to Grow
By Al Tamura, Broker

In an editorial in the Review Journal Viewpoints Geoff Schumaker does the usual complaints of the ever expanding Las Vegas.  His nits are that the growth is not controlled and unplanned.  Traffic problems, school crowding, lack of police protection are the usual problems associated with fast growth.

Halfway through the article Schumaker states "And the growth isn't going to stop anytime soon.  Las Vegas is a product of massive long-term populations shifts.  Millions of people are moving west, thousands of Californians are moving east and millions of immigrants are entering the country.  These trends are simply beyond our meager power to control".

Las Vegas is going to double in population over the next 20 years.  We should be at about 3 million in population by then so we hope that our ability to cope with the growth improves, because it isn't going to slow.
